Working out the Kinks

You’ve heard it before, every gym owner, trainer, and even TV psychologist says it, “even a little exercise, will do a lot for your overall well-being”.   I believe that, or at least now I do.

This week has been a little over whelming; added workload, tight schedule with the boy’s school activities and I’m trying to plan a ‘super fun’ (jazz hands) family trip.    To top it all off, my dumb foot pain will not let up.   Plantar Fasciitis is a bitch.    That’s all I’ll say, out of fear that I’ll anger it.

Calgon could not touch this week, but you know what did help?… a very sweaty yoga session and a very chatty run.    Both activities included good friends, and got me thinking “I need this”.    The exercise yes, everyone needs that, but I need these people too.       Positive, likeminded people are who I am choosing to spend my time with.    Because in the immortal words of Elle Woods…

“Exercise gives you endorphins; endorphins make people happy and happy people just don’t shoot their husbands… they just don’t.”

I am not the picture of health.    There is no chance you will see a 26.2 on my car, you probably won’t even see a 13.1, but…you will also not see me in the jailbirds section of the paper for losing it in the Target parking lot.    People who say they’re too busy to excercise need a kick in the ass.   Make time and call a friend, it will work those kinks out
