Nancy Roth Antiques – Open House 12/7 through 12/9.
Off of Tryon’s main thoroughfare (but still on Trade Street) and down Rt. 176 two miles — enthusiastic shoppers will find unique antiques and curated treasures at Nancy Roth Antiques.
Be sure to stop by the store before the holidays come to a close, but especially on the weekend of December 7th for the annual open house. Large scale furniture, quilts, small, dolls, antique Christmas ornaments, and historical charm from the floor to the rafters.
Nancy specializes in American Country, painted furniture and small American collectibles. On the right side of the store, Joe Ewing has a silver matching service and wonderful silver items for sale. From punch bowls to scissors to dinnerware and trays… Joe’s collection has Downton-Abbey-esque appeal.
Three years ago, I purchased a HARDWARE WALL (yes, I typed WALL) from Nancy. Every new guest in my house comments on it. The wall is hands down the most unique item I have bought for my house. The shelves are filled with books and family photos – the deep bins make for the best lego-storage ever. I simply love it.
Visit Nancy Roth antiques in the 828 and see what treasure you’ll discover. (And — with the Frog & Swan Antique store almost directly across the street, one stop and one parking place will give you lots of bang for your time).
